Chicks

We had an opportunity to get free chicks.  They needed a home and were going to die without one.  They were two days old.  So we decided we would take some of them.  We now have 348 new chicks to add to the 50 chickens we already have.  I guess we are chicken farmers now!

  2. I hope you are not keeping them warm in the family room bathroom! Zamora may not like that -- but then again, she may love it!
We have solved the "Mystery of the Missing $10 In Book" -- we had Mikiya, Kylynn, Mia & Lucy stay overnight on Monday. They all got books out to read quietly before bed time. Mikiya was surprised to find a $10 bill in the book she chose "Emily's Runaway Imagination" by Beverly Cleary - she thought her imagination was running away :) We were surprised too - I didn't find that when I was looking in all the books - I think it may have been last summer when you were here - and I think it was Jessica who lost it (but she did know exactly where she left it - I just couldn't find the right book). So I will send it in Stephanie's birthday card.
We watched the 4 girls on Monday & Tuesday (Doneen had them on Sunday) while Erica & Alex went to Leavenworth for Alex's birthday. They had a great time and so did we. I spent about an hour on Monday in the backyard with Mia & Lucy (Mikiya & Kylynn in school)with their 2 really cute lop-eared bunnies, Thumper & Oreo. Tuesday it rained so we couldn't do that.
Our lives are back to normal now - still working on scrapbooks and photos. I had no idea this would be a 6 month project! (maybe, by the time I'm done). Have a great day everyone.
